Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy
Collaborative care for kids, teens, and parents when one-size solutions don’t fit.
Every brain works differently. That’s not the issue—it’s the starting point.
Whether you’re a parent raising a neurodivergent child, or an adult trying to navigate a world that doesn’t seem designed for you, I’m here to listen first—and support what actually works. I bring both lived and professional experience to this work, and I hold deep respect for the ways neurodivergent families are often asked to do the impossible in systems that don’t flex.
The system wasn’t built with your child in mind
⬧ When “one-size-fits-all” doesn’t fit your family. Neurodivergence doesn’t follow a script. My work is tailored, curious, and grounded in an understanding that your child—or you—might process, relate, or cope differently than the world expects. And that’s not a problem to fix; it’s a truth to honor.
⬧ When your child is misunderstood—by teachers, by peers, by professionals. Labels don’t always help. I look beyond behavior to understand the “why” underneath, and I support families in advocating for their child without pathologizing their differences.
⬧ When parenting challenges turn stress into overload. I offer support that centers co-regulation, realistic strategies, and a nonjudgmental lens. Especially in high-conflict or court-ordered contexts, this work requires nuance and compassion.
⬧ When decisions feel high-stakes and there’s no obvious right answer. Whether you’re navigating diagnosis, school placement, or treatment recommendations, I help you slow things down, ask the right questions, and make decisions that reflect both the needs and the strengths of your child.
Lived Experience. Clinical Expertise. Ongoing Learning.
As a parent raising neurodivergent kids myself, I know firsthand the deep love, advocacy, and exhaustion that can come with walking this path. I’ve worked with families navigating ADHD, autism, sensory needs, trauma overlays, anxiety masking, and complex IEP systems—and I continue to seek out current research and best practices to support neurodivergent children and adults, especially within court-involved systems that often lack flexibility.
In short: I won’t ask you or your child to “just try harder.” I’ll meet you where you are—with insight, compassion, and tools that actually work.
